Kwagala is a Luganda word that means “Love”. Kwagala Farm is a model farm involved in growing crops, raising livestock like dairy cows and poultry, and processing with the purpose of inspiring children, youth, adult men, and women to embrace urban farming to achieve organic feeding, healthy lifestyle, and supplement household income. The farm also conducts training for women, men, and youth on how to grow crops at home for household consumption and selling the rest to the market.
Kwagala Farm was founded by Dr. Diana N. Nsubuga and her husband, Dr. Fred Nsubuga. Dr. Diana Nsubuga is a public health specialist and uses her professional experience to engage communities in healthy living including micro-farming, and nutritional feeding. Dr. Diana Nsubuga and the Kwagala Farm team have been recognized for noble acts of community service promoting farming and health.
Kwagala Farm had equipped over two thousand women, men and youth with Urban farming, public health & product processing skills.

Urban Farming Training
We provide training in urban farming & produce processing, to youth in schools, women-community groups, and work groups.
Biomass material conversion training
Kwagala farm trains already practicing farmers in collecting Coffee husks, ground nuts husks, rice husks, and sawdust and converting them into biomass materials
Organic Fertilizer Production Training
The farm provides technical support and advice to urban farmers on using food and animal waste to process and use organic fertilizers.
Dairy and Poulty Products Training
The farm provides support services to urban & community farmers on maximizing gains from one cow and 10 chickens in a small space.
