Society for Rural Education and Development is working among Rural women especially with Dalit and rural women. SRED activities are based on education, organizing and mobilizing as movement. SRED has built awareness on WTO and RCEP among the women with gender lens. SRED has campaigned on NO Land, No Life, organizing Dalit women to occupy common land and forming collective organic farms. SRED also promotes organic agriculture without the use of pesticide following agroecological methodology. SRED has participated in meetings on SDG Goals and prepared indicators to the Government by joining other CSOs. SRED is mobilizing women on Land Rights and political rights. Wherever land is distributed to women SRED is mobilizing inputs and organizes women to cultivate organic millets to provide food to their own community. The issue of Gender based and caste-based violence’s are addressed through public meetings, protests, demanding the State to take actions to control violence against women.
At the local, regional, international level issues are addressed joining CSOs on issues. SRED mobilized women farmers joining Farmers Movement demanding Government for women Farmers Bill, done a study on the suicides of farmers exposed the situation of women after the death of Farmers got government compensation.
