Mangarita Organic Farm (MOF) is an initiative of Sibol ng Agham at Teknolohiya (SIBAT, Inc.) to carry on its mandate on promoting Sustainable Agriculture (SA) in Philippine rural communities.
MOF demonstrates the core technological approach of SIBAT in implementing SA — Diversified Integrated Farming System (DIFS). DIFS is a farming system that integrates the functions of the diverse components of the farm for optimum productivity and development of farm ecosystem.
MOF provides a learning venue of farmers, students, church people, academes, technologists, LGU’s and advocates of SA. It houses the Sustainable Agriculture Training Center (SATC) which offers different trainings and farm learning activities through customized and certificate training courses and farm tour packages. MOF is also a research hub on ecological, economical and appropriate technologies in farming and also serves as a clearing house of organic seeds to SIBAT’s Organic Seed Network.
