It is a field learning centre for rural community, youth volunteer, student, researcher, journalist and development activists. This area is located in the flood plain zone of North-Eastern part of Bangladesh and closes the Indian Meghalan hill border. Mostly Bengali people are live there and also Mandi (Garo), Hajong and Lyngam Indigenous communities are there with their diversified culture.
More than 500 local rice varieties are conserving through on-farm conservation methods, participatory varietal trial and also women are involving in participatory plant breeding program to develop resilient variety. More than 60 types of vegetables and more than 50 medicinal plants are conserving in this working area. Local breed of livestock are also conserving there.
Ninety-two (92) farmers, fishers, youths and women organization are involved in this area. A sub-district level change monitoring committee and coordination committee are coordination all the grassroots activities.
