The Farmer Learning Site (FLS) is situated in a rural area at the foothills of Mount Kinabalu in Malaysia. The community predominantly consists of farmers practicing crop rotation and cultivating a variety of crops and spices for both sustenance and income.
The training center focuses on the conservation of heirloom seeds for food crops, herbs, and spices. The activities include training in seed conservation, propagation, and the production of food resources for the community, serving as both a food source and a source of income for the community.
The FLS functions as an Edu‐Tourism area and a training center for planting and identifying various types of food plants, spices, herbs, and as a hub for obtaining seeds for
the community. Employing a combination of modern and environmentally friendly farming methods, the center cultivates diverse types of plants.
