Livestock Production and Feed Formulation

In this Two (2) day training, farmers get to know different breeds of Small and Large Ruminants, Swine and Poultry suitable for organic production. The feeding requirements for its different stages of development shall be heavily discussed and how farmers can source them out without the use of commercially produced feeds. A planning workshop will also be conducted so that farmers can determine the ideal plants they can use for feed so that they can integrate a feed garden in their farms. A special session on Ethno-veterinary medicines will be conducted to capacitate farmers on how to deal with disease and viruses that affect their livestock which they can get from organically produced sources.
