The villages of Anaikattupattur and Parameswaramangalam in Ranipet district, along with Veeraraghavapuram in Tiruvallur district in Tamil Nadu, India, were severely impacted by Cyclone Ditwah. Dalit and tribal (Irular) communities in these areas are experiencing extreme hardship, as many homes lack proper roofing, leaving residents exposed to continuous rain. The floors remain wet, and floodwater has entered both streets and houses, making it difficult for people to step outside or go to work. As a result, families are struggling without food and are enduring cold and hunger. In response to this situation, PANAP and SRED provided flood relief by distributing blankets to affected families, offering some comfort during these harsh conditions.
