Founded by educationist, environmentalist, and organic gardener Nasira Habib, Organica Pakistan serves primarily as a research garden where she conducts various experiments focused on soil regeneration, hot and cold composting, seed saving, and cultivating local vegetables through agroecological practices.

Gardening Classes
Nasira Habib teaches online how to start, grow, and maintain an organic food garden at home, in the workplace, and within the community. The course covers building healthy living soil and understanding the crucial role of the soil food web. It explores the mutually beneficial relationship between plants and microorganisms that helps keep plants healthy and enables them to produce nutrient-rich, flavorful food.
Participants also learn how to understand their garden’s ecosystem and microclimate, practice composting and use compost effectively, follow a sowing calendar, start seeds, and transplant seedlings. Additional topics include proper watering techniques, companion planting, attracting beneficial insects, maintaining plant health, and many other practical skills for successful organic gardening.

Garden Maintenance
Keeping a food garden productive requires consistent care and maintenance, just as much as careful planning, design, and establishment. Proper garden maintenance involves tasks such as mulching, weeding, feeding, watering, removing dead plants and debris, cleaning, staking, pruning, and practicing succession planting, among others.
In addition, Organica Pakistan specializes in natural, open-pollinated seeds. They also sell organically-grown seedlings and plants.
