Thanal Agro-Ecology Centre (TAEC), Wayanad, Kerala, India is a major stride towards the conservation of agrobiodiversity and agroecology. TAEC is ne of the field learning sites of the  International People’s Agroecology Multiversity (IPAM). It facilitates training for students and farmers and also hosts around 300+ traditional varieties of Paddy together with other varieties of spices, bananas, tuber crops, cool-season vegetables, and different species of trees. TAEC have the largest live varieties of Paddy collection in Kerala. TAEC maintains its own seed bank and conducts Seed Festivals in association with local farmers, panchayats and seed savers.
